Bro. Eli Soriano, the “Most Sensible Televangelist of our Time,” hosted another successful Worldwide Bible Exposition last January 8, 2016 (Philippine time), which was graced by thousands of people in attendance in all Members Church of God International (MCGI) coordinating centers and via web streaming at www.angdatingdaan.tv.
The Presiding Minister of MCGI, Bro. Eli, is the man behind the longest running religious program, Ang Dating Daan (ADD), along with Truth in Focus and Itanong Mo Kay Soriano.
The Worldwide Bible Exposition commenced at 7 pm with performances from the ADD Music Ministry with Teatro Kristiyano and a solemn prayer.
For the opening remarks, Bro. Eli focused on the point that those who feared the LORD shall discern between the righteous and the wicked.
16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
(Malachi 3:16,18)
Several attendees from different parts of the globe like a guest in Dubai, United Arab Emirates inquired from Bro. Eli if it is written in the Bible that ADD is the true Church. Bro.Eli reiterated that ADD is the name of the program while MCGI is the congregation.
Similar to this, a guest from Taichung, Taiwan asked where in the Bible can it be found that the blood of Christ redeemed ADD. As a reply, Bro. Eliseo said that the blood of Christ purchased the Church.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
(Acts 20:28)
A guest from Maragondon, Cavite in a Mobile Coordinating Center asked why are there various religions while there is one LORD. Bro. Eli explained that there are those who acknowledge fake gods.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
(Galatians 4:8)
As the question and answer portion progressed, a guest asked why are there husbands who hurt their wives. Bro. Eli answered that there is no Christ in a spouse who strikes his other half.
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
(I Peter 3:7)
Coincidentally, a guest from San Jose, Bulacan asked why is it difficult to stop fightings between a husband and wife. Bro. Eliseo responded that the devil wants to destroy humanity and his primary target is the family.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
(James 3:16)
On the other hand, a guest from La Trinidad, Benguet was curious with resurrection, a topic that Bro. Eliseo meticulously explained.
Moreover, a guest from Palawan asked, which is difficult to comprehend in II Peter 3:16. Bro. Eliseo supplied the answer through the following Bible verses:
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
(II Peter 3:15-16)
Furthermore, an attendee from Kidapawan City inquired about the salvation of man. Bro. Eliseo explained that the acts of man are always looked upon by God.
All in all, attendees of the said Worldwide Bible Exposition came home satisfied with their inquiries.
