Seeing the convenience that the broadcast media has brought to his propagation, Bro. Eli Soriano steadily seeks ways to make use of technology’s full potential. Bro. Eli acquired on October 7, 2004 the services of GlobeCast, a direct-to-home provider of free-to-air television via satellite, and launched The Old Path (TOP) Channel for the United States and Canada territories. Websites such as Truthcaster.com, a 24/7 live webcast of Bro. Eli’s Bible Expositions, and Esoriano.wordpress.com, a religious blog under WordPress, were also launched to further aid his propagation. Aside from UNTV 37, a national UHF channel in the Philippines where The Old Path is currently housed,
“Sowing the Seeds of Truth on the Web,” Truthcaster.com accommodates English-speaking foreign nationals and those who do not have access to The Old Path Channel. Bro. Eli uses this site for English gospel preaching all throughout, tackling relevant and prudent themes from spirituality to general information. It also serves as a channel for the visitors’ scriptural queries through its interactive chat feature.
By April 2007, Bro. Eli started his blog. ESoriano.wordpress.com is dedicated to serve the public with informative and biblical views on selected topics. His pilot article was titled, “Dissecting the Worst Mass Murder in American History”, tackling the incident of mass shooting in Virginia Tech in light of the Holy Scriptures. In 2009, the blog was heralded as the “Most Educational Blog” by the popular blogsite, Mashable.com founded by CNN.com tech columnist Pete Cashmore.
The blog is designed to tackle any issue proliferating in society, especially those that could mislead innocent people in their search for God. It is also a venue of learning for those who wish to have a spiritually and physically healthy lifestyle. To date, Bro. Eli has posted over a hundred intelligently written topics, some of which have also been printed in magazines to serve as an extension to those who do not use the web.
On October 7, 2007, Bro. Eli launched another medium in propagating the truth: the Talkshoe.com Interactive Podcast. In this site, not only truth seekers from around the globe get to listen to Bro. Eli’s teachings but also get to ask questions live through its call facility and get the answers real-time. The podcast sessions are also being recorded simultaneously with its live airing to be made available for playback. Bro. Eli podcasts live at 9PM EDT, simulcast in UStream.TV, a live video streaming website. And since 2009, Bro. Eli has been holding live webcast at Livestream.com, where he answers questions posted on the site’s chatboard.
Youtube.com is another medium that is currently being utilized by Bro. Eli in his evangelization. In the hope that among the thousands of people watching videos in the popular website everyday, some may stumble upon his recorded preaching, and that some may hear the issues that matter most in life, Bro. Eli is an interesting presence in this venue.
Through modern technology, Bro. Eli’s missionary work is constantly being aided. Aware of the perils false religious preachers scatter in this fast information transport largely propagating their defective doctrines with much space, Bro. Eli Soriano picks up the pace to banner the original and undefiled teachings of Christ.
